Pafos, European Capital of Culture
Pafos, a Cypriot city registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its archaeological treasures, was elected European Capital of Culture for 2017. The theme of the program of cultural events is inspired by the geographical position of the city, which is a link Between East and West: "Linking the continents, creating bridges between cultures".
Various and varied events will animate the city throughout the year. France, a partner of this program, invites you to a polyphonic concert of Lo Cor de la Plana on May 27 at 8:00 pm (Kato Vrysi Geroskipou), to a vertical dance performance by the Compagnie Retouramont on June 25 at 8:30 pm (Pafos Sastle Square) and to an exhibition of plastic arts from the Salon d'Automne International de Paris to be held from 1 to 15 December at the En Plo Gallery (Palia Ilektriki).
