The ancient city of Amathonte, established at the beginning of the first millennium BC. and abandoned during the 7th century AC., has been excavated and studied by a French mission since 1975. Through its various projects, the mission has highlighted several aspects of urban organization, history and the civilization of Amathus. It is thus following these discoveries that we will present the main lines of the city's historical and urban development, before concentrating on the new projects of the mission.
