The Institut Français de Chypre (IFC) is the only exam centre for French government accredited and internationally recognized tests and diplomas in Cyprus.

TCF (French language proficiency test): The TCF is the French language test awarded by the French Ministry of Education:

The TCF is a standard graded test designed by the CIEP (Centre international d'étude pédagogiques), a language tester and member of ALTE, based on an extremely rigorous method that makes it a valid means of assessing language skills.

 

The TCF is intended for people who wish to have their ability in French assessed and certified, for professional, personal or academic reasons.

The TCF/TCFQ results are valid for 2 years from the date the test was taken. You can take the exam as many times as necessary, however you must leave a gap of 60 days between the examination sessions.

TCF for Quebec:

  • Since 16 October 2006, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MICC) has required people submitting applications to immigrate to Quebec to provide proof of their level of competency in French by taking the "TCF pour le Québec", or TCF test for Québec.
  • This test can only be taken by people who submit an immigration application at a Quebec immigration office or at Délégations Générales du Québec, Quebec government offices abroad.

TCF DAP:
The TCF is compulsory for future students as part of the DAP (Demande d'Admission Préalable, or preliminary admission application) for admission on first and second year university degree courses and for architecture students.
