Every year during the Francophonie month, the French Institute of Cyprus in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus and the French speaking embassies organizes numerous events: conferences, concerts, exhibitions, film festival, school competition ....
Wednesday 1 March: 8:00pm, Cocktail offered by the French Institute of Cyprus for the opening of the "12th Film Festival", sreening at 9:00 pm of the film «La vache». Cine-Studio (University of Nicosia).
From March 1st until March 15: Game online "Francophonie, étonne-moi!" For high school students and students of the university of Cyprus. Organized by the Department of French and European Studies of the University of Cyprus.
Friday 3 March: Perfume event. Conference by Laurent Pouppeville, of Grasse International Perfume Museum. This conférence will take place in French with Power Point in English, followed by a presentation in English of l'Occitane en Provence, a fragrances company. A cocktail will be offered by the French Institute.

Thursday 9 march: Conference by Mr. Lambis Constantinides: "Saint Cassien et la France". In Greek (the French translation will be provided in the entrance). In collaboration of the Embassy of Greece in Cyprus. Entrance free. The conference will be followed by a cocktail.

Saturday 11 March: Sreening of the documentary film "A journey with the Thracian Kings", based on the exhibition "The Saga of the Thracian Kings. Archeological discoveries in Bulgaria" which took place in the Louvre Museum in 2015. Organized by the Embassy of Bulgaria.

Wednesday 15 March: Prize awarding ceremony for the winners of the Francophonie school competition 2017 (junior and senior high schools). The subject was: "Découverte des liens entre Chypre et les autres pays de la Francophonie dans le cadre de Paphos 2017, Capitale Européenne de la Culture". Organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus and the French Institute.

Wednesday 15 March: Conference by Dr Michel Morisseau, geologist: Des volcans sous-marins aux éléphants nains : Evolution géologique de l'île de Chypre. This conférence is organized by the Association of Graduates of French and Francophone Universities, ADUFF. In French (simultaneous translation into Greek).

The Embassy of Switzerland in collaboration the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus will screen the award winning animation feature film "My Life as Courgette" (Ma Vie de Courgette) by Claude Barras in French at schools in the framework of Francophonie. The Oscar nominated film has been awarded the European Film Prize.
Friday 7 April: French songs concert, with Philippe Ledru (vocal and guitar) and Ioanna Loizou (piano and choirs).
